The logical levels of Spd Rdng (speed reading)

We’re giving a presentation at the NLP conference in London (Sunday 11th November 14:15 – 15:45). The environment will be the workroom/classroom/ebook reader and the behaviour will be the new reading skills and getting into a good state. Participants will learn actual spd rdng skills, shift their beliefs about reading and take on the identity of spd rdrs as they consider how this will affect their lives and future (higher purpose). We expect that most participants will double their reading rate by applying their different learnings.

Reader to Speed Reader to Spd Rdr

Many people perceive themselves as slow readers. But becoming a speed reader is not just about reading more quickly. As Einstein said, you can’t solve the problem on the level at which it’s been created. When we shift to a new level of identity the appropriate behaviours will follow. This session will give you some of the skills required to become a speed reader. When you leave the session, you can expect to be reading about twice as fast as when you came in, but more importantly, you should be getting through up to 10 times more material in the time you have available.

SPEED READING COURSES IN LONDON

We also teach speed reading for BPP in London. Dates 14 – 15 Jul 2010, 29 – 30 Sep 2010, 24 – 25 Nov 2010

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the amount of information you need to process, think you don’t have enough time to get through the amount you have to read or just want to be a faster, better reader, this course is for you.

Overview
In two days you will greatly improve your reading speed to increase your efficiency and effectiveness at work. You will learn 37 speed reading techniques and strategies, any one of which individually will impact on your professional performance, and, when combined, will give you the skills to deal efficiently with written materials, including books, journals, emails, reports, contracts, etc. During the course, you will process six books on factual topics of your choosing. You will benefit most if you bring materials you genuinely need to work through, and indeed, many people use the course as an opportunity to complete a work project. Our unique accelerated-learning approach allows you to acquire the techniques with ease, and adequate practice is provided during the course to enable you to use everything you learn immediately in the workplace.

Learning objectives
By the end of the course, delegates should be able to:-

  • read – typically between 2 and 5 times – faster (speed reading)
  • understand more written material in less time (typically about 10 times more)
  • increase their concentration and comprehension
  • deal with large quantities of material easily
  • improve their reading retention rate
  • be able to take effective notes with mindmaps and rhizomaps
  • process four books in 75 minutes using syntopic processing

BRING SIX BOOKS WITH YOU: Four of which should be related to a topic on which you would like to work and which you will use to complete one task (eg plan a presentation or report, get an overview of a new subject, etc), plus two others books on any (factual) topic.

EBOOK READER KINDLE ON IPHONE
Amazon is extending the reach of its eBooks with a new Kindle application for the iPhone and iPod touch. The software allows iPhone owners to buy and read books on their phone, just as they would on Amazon’s dedicated Kindle device. It’s the first time Amazon has offered Kindle services on third-party hardware. The iPhone app boasts one very clever trick called Whispersync, which allows readers to switch between Kindle and iPhone without losing their place in the book. The Kindle for iPhone is a free download from the Apple App Store, although it doesn’t appear to be available outside of the US. The Kindle itself is currently US only, largely because its cellular data connection is incompatible with the European system. Whether the iPhone app will prompt Amazon to start selling eBooks in the UK awaits to be seen. The iPhone already boasts rival eBook apps, such as the Fictionwise eReader, but the support of Amazon could help turn the Apple device into a serious alternative to a dedicated eBook reader.
Amazon recently unveiled the second-generation Kindle, which is notably slimmer than its predecessor. Download Stanza – ebook reader

SPECIAL COURSES
Prosperity Workshop February 2009
We would like to report the success of our one-day Prosperity Workshop in February, when, despite the snow, participants explored key ideas for increasing their prosperity. We used the syntopic processing approach to synthesise key ideas from all the top books on prosperity – which we then shared and discussed, so within the space of a few hours, we all knew how to get rich! It was quite exhilarating. And before we left, we each had a plan of action and knew exactly what we were going to do to bring our plans to fruition.

Personally I would like to report that I have already reorganised my finances so that I am getting optimal returns – and a few judicious phone calls have resulted in some well-paid work. Other participants have reported similar successes – and we’re looking forward to hearing more in due course.

We’re planning to run another Prosperity Worksop in the autumn – email us if you’re interested, and you will be one of the first to hear the date when it’s finalised.
